Online games publisher GamesRouter has announced a massive competition with a series of prizes, including 1 million Euro in cash, for players who sign up and play R.O.S.E. (Rush On Seven Episodes), beginning January 2006 and ending in November.R.O.S.E. Online is the first MMORPG to feature seven distinct planets, with their own unique environments, inhabitants and rules. Players can use force or subterfuge to invade and dominate planets as they gain skills and experience throughout the game.

Creating an MMORPG from scratch is a tedious task, even when you have a multi million dollar publisher supporting your studio. Imagine doing the same with an all volunteer team, under the vigilant and ever watching eye of the cameras. Shattered Reality Interactive, the small independent studio making Kaos War, undergoes this very treatment as we speak. Creating Kaos is a new web video reality series that launched its first episode on Games.net last Friday. Via FiringSquad, we learn more from an interview with Damon Grow, the man leading the Kaos War effort.

Today the extended FFXI Gil game II and the FFXI Gil game II Versus trailers were released and PSU.com has them here available to either watch or download.bout a week ago it was revealed that new FFXI Gil game II and FF XIII Versus trailers were to be bundled with the book CLOUD - confirmed by a several Japanese gaming websites.

The scan below depicts a number of summons to be featured in FFXI Gil game II, such as Carbuncle and Ifrit, in addition to some character screenshots from the FF Versus XIII.

Reports originate from Japan's Famitsu and Dengeki magazines (via website FF-XIII.net), with Final Fantasy Character Designer, Tetsuya Nomura, stating that the demo will give FFXI Gil game players a "hands on" with the FFXI Gil games new battle system.

For the Japanese, the answer to that may be closer to what they want to hear, while for European/North Americans, fear of it slipping into 2009 was a clear belief. Now both sides should feel a bit of reassurance as Square-Enix promises that FFXI Gil game II will release in 2008.

Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer for both FFXI Gil games stated in reference to Lightning that she is very strict to herself and others and can't stand others who whine. She also has muscular legs and is like a military soldier. Motomu Toriyama, the scenario writer for FFXI Gil game II originally wanted Lightning to be even more muscular and macho. Nomura disagreed and thought that people wouldn't be fond of her as the main character if she was designed that way which we would have to agree as those body building females aren't so aesthetically pleasing.

With GDC 2008 just around the corner, the eyes of the gaming community always turn to it for the latest on FFXI Gil game development, trailers, gaming engines, and general information about their up and coming anticipated titles. This isn't anything new of course and FFXI Gil gamers and developers alike have looked forward to this event over the course of its history. The latest news coming out of the pre-GDC time period is that Square Enix is now confirmed to have several speakers on hand.

How many times have you looked forward to a premiere JRPG only to find out that you were going to have to wait another year for them to bring it to North America or Europe? We're guessing more times than you can count. Square Enix has evidently realized this issue and has taken notice of the growing gaming market outside of Japan that shows large interest in their releases.

For the PlayStation Portable, Square Enix plans on showing off two remakes from the Star Ocean franchise with First Departure and Second Evolution. The only other relevant title to Sony's platforms is The Last Remnant which will more than likely be displayed on behalf of the Xbox 360 due to the delayed release of the PlayStation 3 version of the title.
